Chief Network Architect – Infrastructure / Security

  • Heavy experience with assessing large infrastructures, defining core architectures from a risk & secruity perspective.

Extensive knowledge of Networking (LAN, WAN, MAN, Optical), Data Center (network, compute, storage), Enterprise Security, IP Telephony & IP Video/Telepresence, IT policy/processes/ standards, IT organizational structure, IT job descriptions, and competencies.

This Networking Infrastructure practice, delivers world class business relevant solutions, through timely and effective analysis of people, process, policies and technology. The division places an emphasis around core infrastructure (network, compute, storage, security, services, video, voice, messaging) that benefits organizations through targeted deployments (data centers, co-location, cloud services, dmz, extranet, remote access, branch/campus, etc) that align with business need.

 

Basic Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of IT governance, IT processes, and IT procedures.
Skills Preferred:

 

Working experience in the design and development of IT processes and procedures.

 

Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues.

Demonstrated experience as a team leader: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.

 

Extensive knowledge of Networking, Telecommunications, Data Centers, Cloud, Enterprise Security, eCommerce, Call Centers and Voice/Video solutions with a clear understanding of how an IT organization capitalizes upon technology to enable the business.

Extensive knowledge of change management, enabling technology, and program delivery.

Skills Preferred:
Extensive architectural design experience and hands configuration exposition with major networking, storage, compute and security vendors with a level of expose to project management and software development.

Thorough experience identifying and addressing client needs: developing and sustaining deep client relationships using networking, negotiation and persuasion skills to identify and sell potential new service opportunities; preparing and presenting complex written and verbal materials; and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collection.

Thorough experience as a team leader: leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.

Risk & Security Senior Associate – FS

Location:  NYC Metro, Boston, Chicago

Advise clients on a spectrum of IT Risk Management issues and provide them with an assessment of business risk, internal controls, and the efficiency/adequacy of business processes.

Work closely with clients in developing assessment of information systems functions, and determine risk recommendations. Be able to develop comprehensive solutions to complex risk issues and work with client to integrate these solutions into their operations.

Considerable knowledge of developing and maintaining high level design plan for the overall logical and technical IT systems architecture. Considerable knowledge assisting in technical leadership and consulting across the organization from the strategic decision making down to the project planning levels.

Considerable knowledge evaluating technologies and methods for implementing high level architectural plans

Considerable knowledge and exposure to the common issues facing clients in the Financial Services Industry including banking, insurance and/or investment management. Participate in proposal development efforts.

Skills Preferred:

Working experience assisting architectural consulting advice, direction, and Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, and other Systems Architects; and assisting in documenting and developing in-depth knowledge of a client’s existing IT systems architecture and technology portfolio.

Working experience assisting in developing, documenting, communicating, and recommending plans for investing in systems/business architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities. Working experience assisting in planning, designing, testing, overseeing, developing and evaluating end-to-end integrated systems with the ability to recommend action plans. Working experience assisting in developing, documenting, communicating, and enforcing a technology standards policy.

Identity Managment – IDM – Senior Advisors

Working experience with the Identity Management suite of products (CA, SUN, IBM, Oracle) and of their design and implementation.
