Director – Security & Risk Compliance IDM

Position Summary:

 

The Consulting Manager is responsible for all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries.  Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day project delivery of IT assessments, systems selections, and ERP optimization projects.  The Consulting Manager is responsible for an assigned group of clients in the local office and will establish relationships with both senior managers and other practice area delivery staff.  The Manager will direct professional staff in executing those consulting projects.

  • Manage, direct, and monitor client services teams on multiple engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete IT assessments, ERP selection, systems optimization and deployment projects.
  • Understand and manage firm risk on IT projects and proposals.
  • Develop a project vision and set challenging personal and client service team goals.
  • Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.
  • Manage different engagements – worked as a member of larger project team with responsibility for one service area
  • Support activities to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Leverage staff appropriately and contribute to staff development
  • Support practice development and intellectual capital development efforts

Required Experience

 

Information Systems Management/Operations Competencies

  • Knowledge of IT organizations and their operations in large, Fortune 1000 companies
  • Experience with managing components of large scale projects including application development, architecture and data center services
  • Understanding of key IT processes including project management, systems development, data center operations, and systems management
  • Exposure to IT strategy and IT alignment approaches for large companies or the divisions of large organizations
  • Prior positions might include director or manager in an IT consulting organization
  • Led consulting projects that included IT assessments, system selections, and ERP deployments

 

Sales/Relationship Management Competencies

  • Experience in a mid to large size consulting organization or other professional services company
  • Ability to sell services and a bundle of solutions in professional services – in front of clients and their work
  • Demonstrated ability to build a relationship in large IT organizations and delivering those solutions – Work with the client to develop a solution
  • Prior contacts in the local market to help build leads and potential opportunities

 

Technical Competencies

  • Certifications across any of the following areas: ITIL, PMI, Systems Management, or technical certifications in major system platforms
  • ITIL processes and understanding of the operating principles of ITIL and COBIT
  • Other competencies across the following areas (any 3-4 areas would be a start)

Payroll – Technology Leader
